Application Method: Brush, Roller, or Airless/Conventional Spray
All Surfaces: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, and wax.
Previously Painted: Remove all loose or flaking paint. Lightly sand smooth, glossy surfaces to provide a key for the paint to grip.
Algae/Fungus: Thoroughly remove and treat the area with a dedicated fungicidal wash.
Bare Steel: Must be free of rust and scale. Prime with Bedec All Metals Primer before applying MSP.
New or Weathered Wood: Sand degraded or new, planed wood to open the grain. On porous surfaces (like new wood, brick, or render), thin the first coat with 30% clean water.
Treated Timber/Creosote: Allow the surface to weather for at least 3-6 months before painting.
Not Suitable For: Do not use on stainless steel, flooring, decking, or any surface previously treated with a water-repellant product.
Wood Stain Variants: Be aware that some colours in the MSP range (e.g., Mahogany, Oak) are semi-transparent wood stains, not solid paints. This Anthracite Gloss is a solid, opaque colour.
Application Conditions: Always test on a small area first. Stir well and do not apply in temperatures below 8°C or if rain is likely before the paint has fully dried.
