Osmo Polyx Hard Wax Oil Rapid Clear Matt 2.5L
Osmo Polyx Oil Rapid is available in either matt or satin finishes and is ideal for use on interior wooden floors and furniture. The use of natural oils and waxes enhances the wood’s natural character whilst protecting your interior wood without cracking, peeling, or flaking. It’s been formulated to be fast drying and be dry in as little as 4-5 hours. Along with easy application and no need for primer this really is the go-to product for wooden floors and furniture.

Performance
- Recommended use – Interior wooden floors and furniture.
- Coverage – Up to 24m² per litre.
- Recommended 2 coats.
- Drying time – 4-5 hours.
- Re-coat time 4-5 hours.
Surface Preparation
Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%).Osmo Polyx®-Oil Rapid is ready to use. Do not thin.
Stir well using a flat stirring stick or spatula before use.
Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed.
As a general rule, wear a dust mask during sanding works. Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood (with Osmo Wood Filler).
Sand wood surfaces carefully. Begin with coarse sandpaper – final sanding work for flooring P120-150, for furniture P180-240. Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum.
The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.
Application
Always test a small area of the surface to be treated before application to ensure you are happy with the finished look.
- Stir well before use.
- Osmo Polyx Oil is ready to use and does not require thinning.
- Use a soft tip flat brush, floor brush or microfibre roller.
- Apply thinly working in the direction of the wood grain and spread well.
- Allow to dry for 4-5 hours under good ventilation.
- After drying quickly apply a second coat.
- If re-coating one coat should be sufficient.
- Avoid covering during drying and curing, after 2-3 weeks the surface will be fully cured.
Note: Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions found on the tin.
Recoating
Simply re-apply one coat onto the appropriately cleaned and dried surface when signs of wear become visible.
