Product Description
MARINE STRIP is a powerful, water washable solvent free paint stripper that will remove oil and alkyd based paint, varnish, wood stain and anti-fouling. Requiring no supervision or immediate removal of the softened coating, MARINE STRIP strips up to 8 coats of finish in one application. Suitable for virtually any surface including wood, metal, plastic and GRP, MARINE STRIP’s gel consistency means it will not run, making it ideal for vertical surfaces. Easy to apply, MARINE STRIP dissolves paint in the smallest recess, softening all accumulated layers for simple, clean removal. VOC free and non flammable, MARINE STRIP is safe to use in poorly ventilated or confined areas.

Surface Preparation
Remove any loose and flaking finish.Brush off any physical surface contamination e.g. moss, general dirt etc.
Application
- Apply a thick coat of MARINE STRIP over the whole surface to be stripped. For woods rich in tannins, work large areas in zones to avoid excessive darkening of the wood.
- Allow product to work.
- Remove MARINE STRIP and dissolved paint with fresh water and a stiff scrubbing brush or paint scraper, alternatively use a pressure washer (max. 60 bars / 870 psi).
- Note: The use of hot water makes the job easier.
- Thoroughly rinse the surface with fresh clean water.
- After stripping and rinsing. All porous (Wood, Stone, Brick….) surfaces must immediately be treated with DECK CLEANER* while still wet to neutralise the surface and restores the woods colour.

- Average working times:- Alkyd/Oil paint, stains and varnishes – 1 coat = 5-15 mins, 2 coats = 10-30 mins, 3 coats = 15-45 mins- Acrylic paint, stains and varnishes – Test on small area to determine working time- Anti-foulings – Allow to work a minimum of 12 hours
- Note: The above are average working times only. A test should be carried out to determine the actual contact time required to remove the requisite number of coats.

Restrictions
- MARINE STRIP will not remove the following type of coatings: 2 pack or baked on paints.
- Polyurethane paint and varnish.
- Do not use on aluminium.
