Product Description

PCD 91 is a water-based, end grain preservative for wood pressure treated to classes 3 and 4. Applying PCD 91 to any exposed cut, bored or notched ends will maintain the integrity and preservation of the wood. Available in Green and Brown, PCD 91 is easily and quickly applied whether used on site or in a workshop environment.

Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, grime and any previous finishes.

Application

BRUSH, ROLLER, SPRAY:

  • Apply a liberal saturating coat to all exposed cut, bored and notched ends.
  • Wipe off any drips or runs.
  • Allow to dry.

DIPPING:

  • Soak wood for 5 minutes.
  • Drain off excess PCD 91.
  • Allow to dry.
  • PCD 91 is a preservative. It does not replace a finish.
  • After the 48 hours drying time, pressure treated wood should be finished with SEASONITE®* or another OWATROL product suitable for new timber to reduce the effects of weathering – greying, splitting, warping etc as a result of sudden exposure to sun and rain.
  • PCD 91 is compatible with any single or 2 pack finish.

  • Appearance & Odour: Green is a blue green colour in its liquid form and once applied dries green to blend with the natural colour of the treated timber. Brown already has a brown colour. Little or no perceptible odour.
  • Drying time: 48 hrs @ 22°C. It is important to follow the drying times, to ensure fixing of the active substances in the wood.
  • VOC: EU limit value for this product (Cat A/e) 130 g/L (2010) this product contains max 33 g/L.
