Product Description

COMPOXELL® is a water-based finish for decorating and restoring composite wood decks, cladding etc. Hardwearing, stain resistant and waterproofing the surface, COMPOXELL® protects composite wood from UV damage and the effects of the weather.

Properties

• Semi-transparent tinted coating.
• Stain resistant barrier (oil, grease, food, etc.).
• Waterproofs the surface.

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, oil, mildew, stains etc.
• Treat mildew with a 50/50 bleach/water solution. Scrub solution on to surface and allow to stand for 10-15 minutes rinse thoroughly. Allow to dry.
• Clean surface with COMPO-CLEAN* or suitable detergent.
• After cleaning allow wood to thoroughly dry or until it has reached a moisture content of 18% or less before applying the finish.

Application

Use as is. Do not dilute.

• Stir product thoroughly before and periodically during application.
• Apply a single, even coat of COMPOXELL® to the entire length or piece of wood, stopping at any natural breaks to avoid lapping.
• Allow to dry.
• On very old, damaged and porous surfaces apply a 2nd coat.
• Where one coat is sufficient but a greater sheen level and/or greater durability is desired a 2nd coat may be applied.
• After spray application always back-brush or back-roll to improve penetration and uniformity of coverage.

• Decks subject to heavy traffic should be left 24 hours before being put back in to full service.
• VOC: EU limit value for this product (cat. A/i) 140 g/L. This product contains max 100 g/L.
