Owatrol Primall, Interior Primer Blocks Stains Primes Difficult Surfaces

Product Description

PRIMALL is fast drying primer for the blocking of unknown stains and the priming of difficult surfaces.

Properties

• Adheres to smooth surfaces – No need to sand.
• Blocks and hides staining – Water, Fire and Smoke damage, Nicotine, Food (Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Mustard…), Pencil, Felt Pen….
• Prevents staining of the finish coat.
• Stabilises porous surfaces – Prevents shadowing on the finish coat.
• Apply to very lightly rusted surfaces as an anti-corrosion primer.
• Improves performance of the finish. Makes applying the finish easier.
• May be over coated with any finish – See Restrictions

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of all dust, grease, oil, wax, excessive chalky material and other surface contamination, which may affect adhesion.
• Remove all loose and flaking material back to a sound surface by sanding and scraping.
• Feather in any sharp edges.
• Wash surface with SOAPCLEAN* or other suitable cleaning agent, NOT washing-up detergent.
• Treat and remove any mould with a suitable mould killer.
• Remove as much of the stain as possible by washing, sanding scraping etc.

Application

• Use as is. Do not dilute.
• Stir well before and during use
• Aerosol Can: Shake can vigorously until agitator ball is heard, thereafter shake for a further 2 to 3 minutes.
• Periodically shake during application.
• Apply 1 or 2 coats of PRIMALL depending on the condition of the surface and the severity of the stain.
• Note: PRIMALL may be used as a finish coat inside only – 2 coats Mandatory.

• Application Tools: Brush, Roller, Spray: Airless or HVLP (Adjust the material accordingly – Max 10%)
• Dilution: Use as is. Do not dilute.
• Coverage: 10m2 (107ft2) per litre per coat. Actual coverage will vary depending on application method, type, texture, age and porosity of the surface.
• Drying Times: At 20°C (68°F) and 65% RH. Dry: 1 Hour / Recoat: Porous Surfaces 1 hour, Non-porous Surfaces 2 hours

Restrictions

When used externally PRIMALL must be over coated with a suitable finish.GraffitiIf the graffiti crosses-over/shows through PRIMALL then it may only be over-coated with a water-based product. If PRIMALL blocks the graffiti entirely then it may be over-coated with a water or oil-based product. PRIMALL is not compatible with 2 pack finishes.
